DePuy Synthes To Add 30 New Jobs To Its Cork Site

Pharmaceutical and medical technology firm DePuy Synthes is to create 30 jobs at its Irish hub in Cork as part of its €36m invesments into the areas of research and development. The companies of DePuy which was acquired in 1998 and Synthes in 2012 by pharmaceutical and medical device giant Johnson & Johnson.

DePuy Synthes which is leader in the area of orthopeadic as well as neurological developments has a new 5 year Research and Development project with it’s innovation centre in Ringaskiddy set to expand as part of the investment.

Thie will include the establishing of a new 3-D Printing Development and Launch Center on-site, in addition to the already present 3-D Bioprinting laboratory which was established in colaboration with Trinity College Dublin.

Tánaiste Simon Coveney TD said the investment demonstrates the strong commitment by DePuy to the site at Loughbeg.

Tje projects is supported by IDA Ireland with the Department of Business, Enterprise & Innovation
